On September 25, our CEO, Matt Vincent, was once again invited by the Massey University Accountancy Club - Albany to participate as a panelist in an event discussion about Non-Traditional Accountancy Pathways.

The event explored key topics shaping the future of accounting, including the impacts of AI, the evolving landscape of accountancy and how students can build solid career foundations. Matt also shared practical tips on continuous skill development for changing markets, discussed the importance of data analytics and explained how it can provide data-driven advice to clients. The discussions were packed with valuable insights, giving students a dose of inspiration and some practical advice as they gear up to kickstart their careers.

This marks the second time Matt has participated as a panelist at the Massey University Accountancy Club and we’re grateful to know they find our contributions valuable and insightful. In addition to his role as CEO, Matt is also the current Chairman of the CPA NZ Public Practice Committee. We take great pride in Matt’s participation to these impactful conversations, which play a pivotal role in helping aspiring accountants navigate their future paths. This highlights DVA’s commitment to shaping the future of the accounting profession and nurturing emerging talent within the industry.

A bit of background on the Massey University Accountancy Club – Albany: The club fosters a supportive community for accounting students, connecting them with professional networks, enhancing their academic journey, and preparing them for the professional world.

Once again, Matt and the entire DVA team are incredibly grateful to have been part of this event and to have made an impact on accountancy students' journeys toward becoming CPAs.
